IVCAD by AMCAD Engineering is a modular software platform for RF and microwave device characterization and power amplifier design. It brings instrument control, automated test sequencing, data acquisition, and analysis together in one environment, streamlining everything from pulsed I‑V to S‑parameters, RF/load‑pull, and nonlinear waveform measurements.

Key capabilities:

• Unified, modular workflow: Add the modules you need for pulsed I‑V, pulsed/CW S‑parameters, tuner- or active load‑pull, waveform engineering, and advanced data visualization.
• Instrument control: Drive common VNAs, signal sources, spectrum analyzers, tuners, DC supplies, and pulsed bias controllers using built‑in drivers and SCPI control.
• Automation and repeatability: Build test plans, sweep bias/drive/frequency/impedance, enforce timing for pulsed measurements, and generate consistent, documented results.
• Real‑time tuning and visualization: Display power, gain, efficiency/PAE, and linearity; draw contours; and optimize impedances interactively at fundamental and harmonics.
• Device insight under realistic conditions: Characterize GaN, GaAs, LDMOS, and Si devices in CW or pulsed regimes; capture dynamic I‑V behavior to study trapping, thermal, and memory effects.
• Data management and interoperability: Organize large datasets and export/import common formats (e.g., Touchstone, MDIF, CSV) for use in popular EDA and modeling flows.
